Age wise, two-thirds of TikTok users are younger than 30 years-old. In the U.S., 60% of the monthy active users on TikTok are ages 16-24. TikTok is attracting more Gen Zers than any other generation on the APP.

Thus, if your brands are targeting Gen Zers now, you can try the TikTok Influencer Marketing Campaigns.


How to run a successful TikTok Influencer Marketing Campaign?

I suggest 7 tips to follow:


1. Identify your brand positioning

The brand campaign on TikTok is one part of your brand’s overall marketing strategy. Never get caught up in the details of the TikTok campaign design. You need to review whether the TikTok campaign strategy is correct in the big picture of the brand’s overall marketing strategy.


2. Clarify the campaign goals

Is it to produce more UGC, or is it to get more people to log on to your website, or to get more people to buy a particular product? Design reasonable KPIs and ROI to measure the success of your activities.


3. Find the right TikTok influencers to partner with

Check the videos they’ve posted in the past. Do they fit your brand positioning? Do they have similar experiences with other brands? Are their followers consistent with your brand’s target users?

Looking at the follower’s number is not enough. You’ll also have to look at the influencers’ comment areas on TikTok, to check whether their followers are active enough, and whether their followers’ talking style meets your requirements.


4. Communicate correctly with the Influencers

Encourage Influencers to express their ideas. They may have more experience of TikTok than you and your team. Brand marketing campaign on TikTok is a process that demands more creativity, ideas, and even experiments.


5. Balance your brand message and Influencers’ originality

Unlike the users on other social media platfroms, like Instagram and Youtube, users on TikTok currently are not familar with influencer ads. They prefer more original content from influencers with humor and creativity.

Image and style are not so important. The content should fit the Influencers’ previous style.


6. Manage the details

If you’ve worked with more than one Influencer at this event, you need to make sure that they post videos at the right time, and their video titles and video descriptions are correct.

When the videos are launched, check them up and correct them as soon as possible if they don’t meet the requirements.

If it’s a live stream, you’ll need to confirm in advance that the props are ready and have enough rehearsals with the Influencers to make sure the live stream is smooth.


7. Take advantage of the resources on Influencer’s other social media platforms

Discuss with the Influencers whether they have available resources on other social media platforms, such as Instagram, Youtube, etc., to make the most of them at or after an event to amplify the effect of your campaign.
